THE UNIVERSITY OF GWADAR HOLDS 3RD MEETING OF THE ACADEMIC COUNCIL.

University of Gwadar Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir informed the honorable members of the Academic Council that the university has expanded its premises and academic programs in the last few months. He said that all efforts and resources were being utilized for the promotion of academic excellence at the university. 

The Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir, while presiding over the 3rd meeting of the UG Academic Council held on 7th Feb 2023, appreciated the efforts of UG administrative staff and faculty members for good numbers of new admissions and Academic progress overall.

The meeting was attended by the PVC UG Prof. Dr. Syed Manzoor Ahmed, Registrar Dolat Khan, Director Finance Shafi Muhammad, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Dr. Jan Muhammad, Chairman Commerce Department & Director QEC Dr. Kambar Farooq, Chairman Management Sciences Department Fida Hussain, Chairman Education Department Mukhtar Bashir, Chairman Computer Science Department Hafeez Ullah, Lecturer Shahnaz Noor, Sadia Naseer, Haimgul and UG’s librarian Ghulam Sarwar.

VC Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir assured the members of the august forum that teaching departments will be facilitated to provide a better environment and quality research and academic activities will be promoted.

The council endorsed the minutes of the 2nd meeting of the academic council. It also discussed and resolved various matters related to the academic development of the promotion of research activities in the university.

Addressing the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor informed the participants that given the geographical and international importance of Gwadar, subjects related to marine affairs, CPEC, economic development, and modern scientific knowledge should be taught initially in the university.

The Vice-Chancellor appreciated the efforts of Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Manzoor Ahmed in negotiating an agreement with GPA for the functionalization of PCT&VI which has been handed over to the university through a four-party agreement.

Earlier UG’s registrar and council Secretary Dolat Khan presented the agenda before the house for debate and deliberation.

The members of the house assured the Vice Chancellor of full support in the efforts to elevate the academic standard of the university.

In the end, Vice Chancellor thanked all the members for their participation and valuable contributions made by them in the meeting and presented them with commemorative shields.
