University of Gwadar Enhances Quality Assurance Through RIPE

The University of Gwadar successfully conducted the Self Review of Institutional Performance and Enhancement (RIPE) on May 26-27, 2025, reaffirming its commitment to academic excellence and institutional effectiveness under the Higher Education Commission’s (HEC) quality assurance framework. Esteemed external experts: Dr. Abdul Razzak Mahar, Director of QEC at the Textile Institute of Pakistan, Karachi, and Dr. Riaz Ahmed, Director of QEC at the University of Turbat led the comprehensive two-day review. Their expert evaluation and constructive feedback were instrumental in assessing the university’s quality assurance mechanisms and identifying areas for strategic improvement. The RIPE process featured detailed discussions and interactive sessions with Deans, Directors, Heads of Departments (HoDs), faculty members, administrative staff, and the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) team. The reviewers also held productive meetings with students from various academic programs, who actively shared their insights on academic services, classroom experiences, and the broader learning environment. The review concluded with an exit meeting held in the chamber of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir. During the session, the external reviewers presented their key findings and offered actionable recommendations to enhance governance, administrative efficiency, and academic performance. They appreciated the efforts of the University administration. Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir commended the efforts of the IPER committee and appreciated the UG QEC for efficiently organizing and facilitating the review process. He also expressed gratitude to the external review panel for their thorough analysis and valuable recommendations aimed at strengthening institutional performance.
