Commerce education has been a foundational pillar for students of business, trade, and
commerce since its inception. Over time, it has evolved to adapt to changes in business
transactions. Education in commerce empowers students to effectively and efficiently manage
their own businesses. It extends beyond trade and commerce, playing a crucial role in the
corporate sector, particularly in accounting and finance. Additionally, it prepares students
to excel in key positions within NGOs and projects initiated by government or private organizations.
Commerce graduates are not only experts in accounting and finance but are also eligible to work
as auditors and tax consultants in various organizations. Maintenance of accounts and financial
management are vital to any organization, highlighting the increasing importance of commerce education.
There is hardly any department, whether government or private, that does not employ commerce-educated individuals.
With the rapid changes in technology and business practices, commerce education departments have introduced
programs like BS E-Commerce and BS Digital Accounting and Finance to meet current market trends.

Introduction and Background
With the rapid changes in the patterns of accounting, finance, business, and economics, the demand for
various fields of business has grown widely across different regions. Over time, the need for professionals
in commerce, accounting, and finance has increased due to drastic changes in business modes and transactions.
