It is with immense pride and a profound sense of
responsibility that I, as the first and founding Vice
Chancellor of the University of Gwadar, share
that in just three years since its establishment,
our university has quickly become a significant
player in the academic landscape of the region
in general, and Gwadar— a city that holds
great promise as a center of economic and
technological advancement in particular—due
to its strategic location along the China-Pakistan
Economic Corridor (CPEC).

The establishment of the University of
Gwadar was a crucial step to address the long
standing gap in higher education in this rapidly
developing port city. Over the past three years,
we have made remarkable strides in realizing our
vision of transforming the university into a center of excellence in
learning, research, and innovation.
This journey began with the establishment of seven new academic
departments, covering a broad
spectrum of disciplines, as well as the creation of two specialized
research centers that foster
innovation and contribute to global knowledge. These initiatives are
designed to equip our students
with the skills and knowledge needed to meet the evolving demands of the
job market, both locally
and internationally. Special emphasis has been placed on technical
education and the development
of practical skills, which are essential for the region's growth and the
success of projects such as
CPEC.
In addition to our academic developments, we are excited to announce
that construction
is underway for our new campus in the Shabi area. This state-of-the-art
facility will provide an
enriching and modern environment for both students and faculty, further
enhancing our ability to
deliver high-quality education and research opportunities. The new
campus is designed to support
our mission of developing graduates who are well-prepared for the
challenges and opportunities
of an increasingly globalized world.
Looking ahead, I am confident that the University of Gwadar has a bright
and prosperous
future. Our unwavering commitment to academic excellence, research, and
innovation positions
us to become one of the world's leading institutions in the coming
decades. We aim to equip our
students with the skills and expertise necessary to contribute to the
successful implementation of
CPEC and drive the economic development of the region and beyond.
Together, we are building an institution that will serve as a beacon of
knowledge, progress,
and global collaboration. It will not only be a pillar of higher
education in Balochistan but will also
make significant contributions at the national and international levels.
