University of Gwadar Holds 5th Finance and Planning Committee Meeting.

UGPR: The University of Gwadar held its 5th Finance and Planning (F&P) Committee meeting on November 12, 2024, at the CPEC Study Centre, PCTVI University of Gwadar. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir chaired the meeting. Attendees included Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. S. Manzoor Ahmad, Director of Finance at HEC MS. Samina Durrani, Bashir Ahmed representative of the Finance Department, Government of Balochistan, Sheryar Khan nominee of the Chancellor's office of PSUs, Registrar Dolat Khan, Controller of Examinations Dr. Rahim Bakhsh Mehr, Dean Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad, Acting Director of Finance Rehmat Ullah, Madam Shahnaz Chairperson of the Education Department Dr. Rabia Director QEC and Muhammad Amin Auditor UG.

The meeting focused on key agenda items related to the university's financial and administrative planning for the upcoming year. Under the Vice-Chancellor's leadership, the committee reviewed and approved several significant initiatives aimed at strengthening the university's financial stability and improving its academic activities.

The committee approved the minutes and action taken report on the 4th F&P Committee meeting held on April 22, 2024, reviewing the progress made since that session. The members also considered and approved the budget estimates for the year 2024-25 also considered and constituted a committee to consider the proposed rates for the Government of Balochistan Benevolent Fund, which provides financial assistance and security to the university’s regular employees. Talking about the agenda point, the HEC representative, Ms. Samina Durrani appreciated the efforts of the university administration, mainly the finance wing for preparing proper minutes of the last meeting. She also suggested various measures for further improvement. In addition, with the Vice-Chancellor’s consent, the committee addressed other relevant financial and planning matters.

The Vice-Chancellor emphasized the importance of these decisions, noting that they would further enhance the university’s financial stability and improve the welfare of its employees. He commended the committee members for their dedication and valuable contributions, underscoring that the approved measures reflect the University of Gwadar’s ongoing commitment to excellence in both academic and staff welfare.

At the close of the meeting, the Vice-Chancellor expressed his appreciation for the council members' commitment and expressed optimism that these decisions would further elevate the university’s academic standards and social impact.
