University of Gwadar Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir said that the resources were being utilized for promotion of academic excellence in the university. The vice chancellor while presiding over the 2nd meeting of UG Academic Council held on 17th September 2022, appreciated the efforts of UG administrative staff and faculty members for maintaining good governance and providing quality education to the students in the line of modern requirements.
The meeting was attended by the PVC UG Prof. Dr. Syed Manzoor Ahmed, Registrar Dolat KhanŲ§, Director Finance Shafi Muhammad, Acting Controller of Examinations & Chairman Commerce Department Mujahid Hussain, Dean Faculty of Management Sciences, Commerce and Social Sciences Dr. Jan Muhammad, Dean Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology Dr. Dhani Bakhsh Talpur, Chairman Management Sciences Department Fida Hussain, Chairman Education Department Mukhtar Bashir, Chairman Computer Science Department Hafeez Ullah, Lecturer Shahnaz Noor, Haimgul and UG’s librarian Ghulam Sarwar.
VC Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir assured of providing better environment and facilities for the promotion of quality research and academic activities.
The council endorsed the minutes of the 1st meeting of academic council. It also discussed and resolved various matters related to academic development of the promotion of research activities in the university.
Addressing on the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor informed the participants that in view of the geographical and international importance of Gwadar, subjects related to marine affairs, CPEC, economic development and modern scientific sciences should be taught initially in the university. While Gwadar University will soon be recognized at the international level apart from making it equal to the top universities of the province and the country.
Earlier UG’s registrar and council’s Secretary Dolat Khan presented the agenda before the house for debate and deliberation.
The members of the house assured Vice Chancellor full support in the efforts to elevate academic standard of the university and affiliated colleges.
At the end Vice Chancellor thanked all the members for their participation and valuable contributions made by them in the meeting and presented them with commemorative shields.
