The University of Gwadar celebrated its first anniversary day on 25 October 2022 at the University Library. The chief guest of the ceremony varsity’s Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir celebrated the day with the registrar, dean faculty, and administrative staff by cutting a cake and prayed for its continued success in future

Addressing the occasion, the VC congratulated the faculty and administration of the UG for various feats achieved by them in one year. Further, he said that we are determined to make Gwadar University one of the best universities in the world. He also thanked Governor Balochistan, the provincial and federal government, HEC, and other stakeholders for their support in the development of Gwadar University.

Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir said the celebration of this anniversary was a significant occasion for all stakeholders and for the people of Gwadar in particular.

"Just one year ago on this day, we laid the foundation for the educational future of the people of Gwadar. Today is a celebration of our commitment and passion for the promotion of higher education in this part of the country," he added. The Vice-Chancellor emphasized that the people of Gwadar should take advantage of the higher education opportunities at their doorstep.

On this occasion, Registrar Dolat Khan and Chairman Education Department Mukhtar Bashir also described their experiences of the one-year journey at the university.
