A delegation from HEC Islamabad regarding the inspection of the newly established university of Gwadar visited. The delegation included Prof. Dr. Khalid Mehmood, University of Punjab, Prof Dr. Ali Javed, University of Engineering and Technology Taxila, and Mr. Sahim Pervez representative of HEC Islamabad.
The Delegation attended a meeting which was chaired by Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir (TI), the Vice Chancellor University of Gwadar at the UG Library. On occasion UGs Registrar Dolat Khan, Director finance Shafi Muhammad, Controller examination Mujhaid Hussain, Dean of Faculty of Management Sciences, Commerce & Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad, Dean Faculty Sciences, Engineering & Technology Dr. Dhani Bux Talpur, Director QEC Dr. Kambar Farooq and HoDs of respective departments were present.
In the meeting, the delegation was briefed about modern facilities being provided to the students, academic and research work by faculty, achievements of the University, educational programs, financial and administrative matters of the varsity and admission policy, etc. Besides having a detailed meeting with faculty members of the concerned departments, the HEC team also inspected various classrooms, computer labs, the library, the hostel, and the new campus. The members of the committee discussed all matters of the university and evaluated its performance, facilities, and strength of students, faculty, and staff members in detail.
Appreciating the efforts of VC UG and his team to develop Gwadar University in a short time, the delegation said that the HEC would extend all possible cooperation and guidance to Gwadar University, particularly for the promotion of quality education in this remote region of the country.
In the end, Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir (TI) presented commemorative shields of UG and Balochi Chadir to members of the HEC inspection committee.
