SMEDA Balochistan organized a One Day Training Workshop at the University of Gwadar.

Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) Balochistan in collaboration with the Office of Research and Commercialization (ORIC) has organized a One Day Training Workshop on “Entrepreneurship as a viable career option” at the University of Gwadar on 15th November 2023.

While inaugurating the workshop the Vice Chancellor of the University of Gwadar Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir (TI) said that his institution had planned to expand its links with industries and companies in the public and private sectors through ORIC for the promotion of the concept of entrepreneurship among the students of the University of Gwadar enabling them to become a job provider rather than a job seeker.

Dr. Sabir thanked SMEDA provincial chief Abdul Shakoor and his team for conducting such a training workshop in the university for the capacity building of students and helping them to put their innovative ideas into action.

Director ORIC Muhammad Irshad Buledi said such a workshop was beneficial for bringing an attitudinal change in participants and improving their entrepreneurial skills.

The resource person of the training workshop famous entrepreneur and Manager National Expansion plan of NIC (Balochistan) Mr. Bashir Ahmed Agha informed the participants regarding various competencies to become a successful entrepreneur which include goal setting, taking calculated risks, systematic planning and monitoring, managing daily challenges.

The inaugural session was also attended by the Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Prof. Jan Muhammad, Chairpersons and heads of various academic and administrative departments, faculty members, and students.
