6th Finance & Planning Committee Meeting Held at the University of Gwadar Financial autonomy and academic development are our top priorities – Vice Chancellor, University of Gwadar UGPR, May 15, 2025 The 6th Finance and Planning Committee meeting of the University of Gwadar was held at the CPEC Study Center, PCTVI, under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir. The meeting was attended by Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. S. Manzoor Ahmed, HEC Director Finance Ms. Samina Durrani, Representative of the Governor Secretariat Additional Secretary Muhammad Arif Tareen, University Registrar Da0lat Khan, Controller of Examinations Dr. Raheem Bakhsh Mehr, Dean Professor Dr. Jan Muhammad, Director Finance Rehmatullah, Chairperson Department of Education Ms. Shehnaz, and Director QEC Dr. Rabia. The committee reviewed and approved the proceedings and implementation report of the 5th Finance & Planning Committee meeting held on November 12, 2024. Furthermore, the committee recommended the revised budget estimates for the fiscal year 2024–25 and the proposed budget estimates for the fiscal year 2025–26. The committee adopted the Higher Education Commission’s National Fee Refund Policy and set compensation for external evaluators of QEC. It also discussed revised honoraria for teaching fellows and visiting lecturers. Other key financial matters were also discussed with the chairman’s approval, including the formation of a committee to determine proposed rates for the Government of Balochistan’s Benevolent Fund, aimed at supporting the welfare of the university’s permanent employees. During the discussions, Ms. Samina Durrani appreciated the improved documentation of the university's finance department and offered suggestions for further enhancement. Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir emphasized that these decisions are crucial for ensuring financial independence, enhancing the academic environment, and promoting employee welfare. He appreciated the valuable suggestions of the committee members and expressed confidence that the approved measures will significantly contribute to the university’s academic excellence and institutional development.
