In a concerted effort to enhance the quality of vocational training and improve the employability of trainees, the University of Gwadar Vice Chancellor participated in a high-level meeting held at BUITEMS in Quetta on June 13, 2024.
The meeting brought together Vice Chancellors from the leading universities of Balochistan to discuss strategic initiatives to boost educational outcomes and workforce readiness.
The meeting was chaired by Ms. Gulmina Bilal Ahmad, Chairperson of the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC). Key discussion topics included enhancing training quality, increasing the employability of trainees, securing international certifications, and planning future training programs.
Ms. Gulmina Bilal Ahmad commended the efforts of the universities and stressed the significance of collaborative approaches in elevating the standards of vocational and technical education in the region. She underscored NAVTTC's commitment to providing the necessary support and resources to ensure that training programs are both comprehensive and in line with global best practices.
The meeting concluded with a shared vision of creating a robust framework for vocational training that not only meets the highest quality standards but also enhances the employability of graduates, enabling them to secure meaningful employment opportunities both within Pakistan and internationally.
This strategic gathering marks a significant step forward in the collaborative efforts between NAVTTC and the leading universities of Balochistan to drive educational excellence and workforce development in the region. She also appreciated the role of the University of Gwadar and PCT&VI and assured the VC UG to start more courses at the University.
