UG organized a Seminar on Counter-Subversion Drive in a Multiethnic and Multireligious Society
The University of Gwadar successfully organized a seminar on the crucial topic of "Counter-Subversion Drive in a Multiethnic and Multireligious Society’’ on January 31st, 2024, in the main seminar Hall of the university.
The event aimed to shed light on the challenges posed by subversion and explore strategies to safeguard the harmony and unity of a diverse society. The seminar brought together eminent scholars and practitioners to share their insights and foster a comprehensive understanding of counter-subversion measures.
The seminar started with the opening recitation of the Holy Quran, after which the honorable guest speaker Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Prof. Dr. John Muhammad, and Director of ORIC Muhammad Irshad Buledi stressed the importance of dealing with sabotage in a multi-ethnic and multi-religious society. The keynote speakers highlighted the need for a proactive approach to preventing the destabilization of the social fabric. They emphasized the role of education and Awareness In the multiethnic and multireligious society.
One of the central themes of the seminar was the role of educational institutions in countering subversion. Speakers emphasized the need for universities to promote critical thinking, tolerance, and inclusivity. The speakers discussed strategies for incorporating counter-subversion measures into educational curricula, focusing on empowering students with the skills to discern misinformation and propaganda.
