The delegation of the University of Gwadar participated in Pakistan International Maritime Expo and Conference (PIMEC) in Karachi on 10th February 2023. The delegation was led by Dr. Syed Manzoor Ahmed, Mr. Fida Ahmed, and Mr. Shehak Baloch. PIMEC is an initiative of the Pakistan Navy, organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs to accelerate development in the maritime sector.

The PIMEC was officially inaugurated by the Honorable Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah. The event will provide opportunities to the maritime industry in the public and private sectors to display products and develop business relationships, highlight Pakistan's maritime potential, and boost economic growth at the national level.

The Gwadar University stall representing Gwadar Port's social life in Gwadar and CPEC-related projects has received numerous visits from diplomats, law enforcement agencies, and senior government officials. UG stall representatives have had the opportunity to have fruitful interactions with various research institutes. PIMEC will continue till 12th February. UG representatives look forward to continuing these discussions through the final day and exploring possible collaborations that will bring about positive change in our communities.
