The University of Gwadar, in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, successfully hosted an awareness session on the FATA-Balochistan Scholarships on 3rd October 2024. The session aimed to inform students about the scholarship opportunities specifically designed to support the educational advancement of youth from the FATA and Balochistan regions.
The event was attended by a large number of students, faculty members, and university officials. The Director of Students Affairs Farooq Haider, welcomed the representatives from HEC and highlighted the importance of such initiatives in empowering the underprivileged students of the region. "This scholarship program is a golden opportunity for students from FATA and Balochistan to pursue higher education and contribute to the development of their communities," said Farooq Haider in his opening remarks.
The HEC representative, Muhammad Afzal provided detailed insights into the eligibility criteria, application process, and benefits of the scholarship. They encouraged students to take full advantage of this opportunity, which covers tuition fees, living stipends, and other educational expenses.
Questioned was answered by Project Director FATA BALOCHISTAN scholarship HEC Bahram Jan. Students actively participated in the Q&A session, expressing their enthusiasm and seeking guidance on how to apply for the scholarships. The session ended with a renewed sense of motivation among the students to excel academically and pursue higher education through the HEC FATA-Balochistan Scholarships program.
The FATA-Balochistan Scholarships are part of the Higher Education Commission's efforts to promote higher education in underrepresented areas of Pakistan, offering financial aid to talented students from these regions.
In the end, the director of financial aid UG Mr. Shayhaq Ali presented a commemorative shield to the distinguished guest on behalf of the worthy Vice Chancellor UG Prof. Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir.
