Educational reforms and the launch of new AI and Zoology programs at the University of Gwadar will create expanded opportunities for students across Gwadar and the adjoining coastal belt: Vice Chancellor, University of Gwadar. Gwadar (UGPR), November 28, 2025 A high-level meeting was held at the University of Gwadar under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir. The meeting was attended by Registrar Dr. Dolat Khan, Controller of Examinations Dr. Rahim Mehr, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Professor Dr. Jan Muhammad, Dean Faculty of Science & Engineering Dr. Mohib Ullah, Director ORIC Dr. Mohammad Irshad, and chairpersons of various academic departments. The session included a comprehensive review of course cases, during which the Vice Chancellor directed all departments to finalize their course structures in accordance with HEC standards. He emphasized that updated and well-aligned curricula are essential for enhancing academic quality and ensuring effective teaching in the upcoming semesters. The introduction of BS programs in Artificial Intelligence and Zoology was highly commended, with the Vice Chancellor noting that these additions will provide valuable new learning pathways for students from Gwadar and surrounding coastal areas. These programs are expected to strengthen the University’s footprint in modern technology and scientific research, equipping students with key competencies in AI, Machine Learning, and data-driven analysis. The meeting also included a detailed briefing on the final examination schedule. Relevant departments presented updates on their preparations, planning, and timelines. The Vice Chancellor stressed the importance of transparency, timely communication, and maximum facilitation to ensure a smooth and student-friendly examination process. Updates on new admissions were also presented, covering application trends and strategies for the Spring 2026 intake. Additionally, the forum conducted a review of departmental research publications for the annual report and directed faculty members to submit accurate and timely data. Further discussions were held on the Management Sciences Department’s Board of Studies (BoS), focusing on curriculum revisions, program relevance, and alignment with market needs. The structure and scheduling of the upcoming MS program, along with faculty assignments, also underwent thorough consideration. In his concluding remarks, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir urged all administrative officers, deans, directors, and chairpersons to ensure prompt and effective implementation of the decisions made. He reaffirmed that strategic planning, academic discipline, and a strong commitment to quality will continue to play a pivotal role in establishing the University of Gwadar as a leading higher education institution in the region.
