The Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC) at the University of Gwadar, in collaboration with the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), organized an enlightening lecture session aimed at fostering awareness about the pivotal role of students in the eradication of corruption. The session took place at the seminar Hall of the University.
Vice Chancellor of Gwadar University Prof Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, and the Guest Speaker was Dr. Muhammad Rashad Director of NAB sub-office Gwadar.
Controller Examination of Gwadar University Dr. Rahim Bakhsh Mehr, Registrar UG Dolat Khan, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Prof Dr Jan Muhammad, Deputy Director NAB Abdul Rehman Baloch, Chairpersons of Department of University, administrative staff, and students participated actively in the session.
The Vice Chancellor of Gwadar University, Prof Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, commending the initiative taken by ORIC and NAB in fostering a culture of integrity among the youth. He reiterated the university's commitment to instilling ethical values and social responsibility in its students.
In his Opening remarks, he expressed his appreciation for the enthusiasm and engagement demonstrated by the students, stressing the importance of collective action in the fight against corruption. He urged the youth to harness their potential as catalysts for positive change and to actively participate in anti-corruption initiatives.
A keynote speech and presentation by Director NAB Dr. Muhammad Rashad highlighted the various forms of corruption that followed this prevalent in society and the importance of youth activism to combat this scourge. The aim was to equip students with the necessary knowledge and tools to identify, prevent, and report incidents of corruption. The organizers encouraged participants to become advocates for transparency and accountability in their own communities.
The event closing address by Director ORIC Muhammad Irshad Buledi, emphasized the crucial role universities play in shaping ethical leaders and promoting integrity. Through collaborative efforts such as this awareness lecture session, the University of Gwadar and NAB reaffirm their commitment to empowering the youth as agents of change in the ongoing battle against corruption.
In the end, Vice Chancellor UG presented the commemorative shield of the university to the distinguished guests and the participants took an awareness walk in the university corridor.
