University of Gwadar Wins Best Speaker Award at Uraan Pakistan National Debates 2025.

The University of Gwadar delivered an outstanding performance at the Uraan Pakistan National Debates 2025, where Badria Rafiq, a student from the Department of English, won the Best Speaker award among participants from 65 universities across the country. She achieved this remarkable recognition under the guidance of the Director of Students' Affairs, Mr. Farooq Haider. The national competition, held in Islamabad, featured top universities from Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and the former FATA. Throughout the contest, students from the University of Gwadar demonstrated exceptional preparation, logical reasoning, and high-quality dialogue, consistently staying ahead of their competitors. On this historic achievement, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir, Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Syed Manzoor Ahmed, and leaders of academic and administrative departments congratulated Badria Rafiq and the Director of Students' Affairs. According to the university spokesperson, the Vice Chancellor said that this victory clearly shows that students of the University of Gwadar have strong academic skills, critical thinking, and a notable presence in national discussions. He added that the university is fully dedicated to fostering students’ creative and intellectual talents, with a focus on student engagement and practical learning. Badria Rafiq, the winning speaker from the University of Gwadar, received the trophy and cash prize from the Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, Dr. Ahsan Iqbal.
