University of Gwadar Holds Strategic Academic Review Meeting, Focus on Research, Digital Skills, and Examination Preparedness.

A strategic academic review meeting was held at the Vice Chancellor's Secretariat of the University of Gwadar under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir, where key academic and administrative matters of the university were discussed in detail. The meeting was attended by Registrar Dr. Dolat Khan, Controller of Examinations Dr. Rahim Mehr, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Prof Dr. Jan Muhammad, Dean Faculty of Science and Engineering Dr. Mohib Ullah, along with chairpersons of various departments and administrative officers. During the meeting, the Vice Chancellor emphasized the importance of productive academic engagement during the upcoming summer vacations and directed all departmental heads to actively involve faculty members in research initiatives and scholarly activities to further strengthen the university’s research culture and academic growth. Participants also held comprehensive discussions regarding preparations and agenda items for the upcoming Academic Council meeting. Various academic matters and institutional priorities were reviewed to ensure effective planning and implementation. The meeting also acknowledged the university’s remarkable achievements in Google short training courses and professional certifications. It was highlighted that the University of Gwadar has emerged as the leading university in Balochistan in terms of enrollment in Google short courses, reflecting students’ growing interest in modern digital and professional competencies. Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir appreciated the efforts of the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology and described the achievement of securing international certifications for 20 students as a significant milestone for the university. He further emphasized the need for additional initiatives aimed at enhancing students’ technical expertise and employability. Preparations for the upcoming examinations were also reviewed during the meeting, with special emphasis on ensuring transparent, organized, and efficient conduct of examinations across all departments. Furthermore, discussions were held regarding academic planning for the upcoming semester following the summer break. Participants shared valuable suggestions for improving academic activities, teaching standards, student engagement, and the overall quality of education at the university. The Vice Chancellor reaffirmed the University of Gwadar’s commitment to academic excellence, research advancement, and professional skill development, while urging all departments to work collectively for the continued progress and institutional development of the university.
