University of Gwadar Holds First Meeting of the Affiliation Committee.

The first meeting of the Affiliation Committee of the University of Gwadar was held in the conference room of the PCT&VI UG. The purpose of the meeting was to deliberate on key academic, administrative, and policy matters related to the affiliation of degree colleges in District Gwadar, and to develop a comprehensive strategy for promoting quality higher education in the region. The meeting was chaired by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir. Those in attendance included Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Syed Manzoor Ahmed; Muhammad Hussain, Director Colleges, Higher & Technical Education Balochistan; Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences; Dr. Mohib Ullah, Dean Faculty of Sciences, Engineering & Technology; Dr. Rahim Bakhsh Mehr, Controller of Examinations; Dr. Dolat Khan, Registrar; Dr. Rabia Aslam, Director QEC; Dr. Muhammad Irshad, Director ORIC; Ms. Shahnaz Noor, Lecturer, Department of Education; and Barkat Ismail, Divisional Monitoring Officer Colleges, Higher & Technical Education Balochistan. During the meeting, the committee held an in-depth discussion on various matters related to the affiliation of degree colleges and postgraduate institutions in District Gwadar that seek to be associated with the University of Gwadar. It also reviewed the formation of inspection committees to assess the academic, administrative, and infrastructural standards of proposed institutions, the development of a policy framework for institutional affiliation and disaffiliation, and the effective organization of financial and administrative affairs. Addressing the meeting, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir stated: “The affiliation process is not merely an administrative procedure; it is a commitment that every institution associated with the University of Gwadar will uphold high academic standards. Our goal is to expand access to higher education in this region, strengthen the capacity of institutions, and set new benchmarks for excellence in teaching and research.” He further emphasized that the University of Gwadar is dedicated to improving educational quality and creating greater academic opportunities for youth through close collaboration with regional educational institutions. Muhammad Hussain, Director Colleges, Higher & Technical Education Balochistan, appreciated the university’s efforts, stating: “The University of Gwadar’s effective and transparent approach to establishing the affiliation process is a milestone for educational development in the region. The collaboration between the university and colleges will not only enhance the quality of education but also provide the younger generation with a modern academic and research environment.” In conclusion, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Gwadar thanked all participants for their valuable contributions.
