The Faculty of Science, Engineering, and Technology at the University of Gwadar successfully held its inaugural Board of Studies meeting for the M.Phil. Chemistry program, setting the foundation for this advanced degree offering. The session, chaired by Dr. Mohib Ullah, Dean of the Faculty of Science, took place at the Conference hall of PCTVI UG.

This milestone meeting brought together distinguished academic experts, both internal and external, to collaboratively develop a robust academic framework. Esteemed participants included Prof Dr. Jan Muhammad, Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences, Commerce, and Social Sciences at the University of Gwadar; Dr. Muhammad Aslam from the Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences, Quetta; and Dr. Haneef Ur Rahman from the University of Turbat.

Dr. Mohib Ullah presented the proposed two-year program structure, which outlines 24 credit hours of intensive coursework over the first year, followed by focused research in the second year. Key topics such as Research Methodology, Nanochemistry, and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance in Organic Chemistry were discussed and approved unanimously by the Board. This well-rounded curriculum aims to offer students a strong foundation in advanced chemical sciences, equipping them with impactful research and professional contributions.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. Mohib, who expressed appreciation for the collaborative spirit and invaluable input from all members. The University of Gwadar anticipates that the newly approved curriculum will contribute to the academic and professional growth of its future M.Phil.
