The 2nd meeting of the Finance and Planning Committee of the University of Gwadar (UG) chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir, was held on 16th September 2022 at UG.
Besides VC UG the meeting was attended by Pro Vice Chancellor Prof.Dr. Syed Manzoor Ahmad, Secretary Local Government, Government of Balochistan Dostain Khan Jamaldini, Director Higher Education Commission Reginal Center Karachi, Javed Ali Memon, Registrar UG Dolat Khan, Director Finance Shafi Muhammad, Acting Controller of Examinations Mujahid Hussain, Dean Faculty of Management Sciences, Commerce and Social Sciences Dr. Jan Muhammad, Dean Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology Dr. Dhani Bakhsh Talpur, Director QEC Dr. Kamber Farooq.
Addressing on the occasion, the Vice Chancellor said that the development of any institution depends on good financial management and good governance and his institution will never compromise on financial integrity and transparency.
VC added that the role of the university is very important for the development of the infrastructure of the university and the promotion of higher education in this part of the country.
On this occasion, he appreciated the cooperation of Federal Minister Mr. Ahsan Iqbal and HEC officials for including the Gwadar University project in the federal PSDP and he also appreciated the cooperation of Governor Balochistan, Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Abdul Quddos Bizenjo, senior officials of the Department of Finance and Higher Education of the Government of Balochistan for solving the financial problems of Gwadar University and including it in the provincial grant.
In addition, in the meeting, Director Finance Shafi Muhammad presented the minutes of the previous meeting 2021-22 for confirmation. The meeting approved the revised budget, estimates for 2022-23. Discussed the revised budget estimates for the financial year 2021-22 and the final budget 2022-23.
In the end vice chancellor thanked the participants of the meeting for their active participation and suggestions for the development of Gwadar University, and presented them with commemorative shields.
