The University of Gwadar Celebrates the 99th Birth Anniversary of Syed Hashmi with Reverence and Respect.

The University of Gwadar organized a prestigious ceremony to commemorate the 99th birth anniversary of the renowned scholar, writer, and eminent figure of Balochi literature, Syed Zahoor Shah Hashmi. On this occasion, his scholarly contributions, literary achievements, and cultural legacy were honored with great admiration.
The chief guest of the program was the Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir. In addition, the event was attended by Prof Dr. A.R. Dad, a distinguished scholar of the Balochi language from the University of Balochistan, Controller of Examinations Dr. Raheem Bakhsh Mehr, university administrative officers, faculty members, and students.
Addressing the gathering, the Vice Chancellor stated, "The scholarly and literary legacy of Syed Hashmi serves as a beacon for us. His writings and intellectual struggle continue to guide the youth towards awareness, selfhood, and identity. We are commemorating his 99th birth anniversary with reverence, and we will grandly celebrate his 100th anniversary."
During the ceremony, selected poems and prose excerpts from Syed Hashmi's works were presented, which greatly captivated the audience.
In the concluding session of the program, a profound intellectual discussion was held between Prof Dr. A.R. Dad and Dr. Rahim Bakhsh Mehr, focusing on Syed Hashmi's life, scholarly contributions, and literary services, which was highly appreciated by the participants. At the end of the event, the Vice Chancellor presented a commemorative shield to Prof Dr. A.R. Dad in recognition of his scholarly and literary services.
