Prof Dr. Manzoor Ahmed is appointed as 1st Pro-Vice Chancellor University of Gwadar by Honorable Governor Balochistan/Chancellor UG/PSUs on 21st of June 2022.

He is a Professor of Economics and ex-dean Faculty of Management and Social Sciences at Lasbela University, Balochistan. He is Coordinator China Pakistan Economic Coordinator, and advisor on Taxation and Revenue, Government of Balochistan,and He was a senior research fellow at Durham University Business School. He obtained MS in Economics and Finance, and PhD in Political Economy from Durham University, a prestigious British University. He was member Board and Syndicate member of different Universities in Pakistan. He authored 44 peer-reviewed Journal articles covering a wide range of issues including fiscal decentralization, poverty, inequality, political economy of resource distribution, dynamics of ethno-nationalism, conflicts, federalism and economic development in Balochistan and China Pakistan Economic Corridor. He has presented his research work and delivered keynote lectures in numerous national and international conferences and seminars. He appears on National and International media as analyst on Economic Issues in Pakistan.
