Participation of the University of Gwadar Leadership in the HEC–NAHE Strategic Planning and Leadership Excellence Workshop

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Gwadar, Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir, and the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Manzoor Ahmed, participated in a three-day Strategic Planning and Leadership Excellence Workshop organized in Islamabad by the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE), a subsidiary of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan, in collaboration with the Chancellor's Office Balochistan, Quetta.
The objective of the workshop was to strengthen the leadership of public sector universities in Balochistan, promote effective policy-making, ensure financial sustainability, advance research-driven academic development, and encourage good governance.
The inaugural session was graced by the Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training, Ms. Wajiha Qamar, as the Chief Guest. Chairman HEC Pakistan, Nadeem Mahboob, Executive Director Dr. Zia-ul-Haq, and Managing Director NAHE, Dr. Noor Amna Malik, welcomed the distinguished participants.
During the workshop, comprehensive discussions were held across various sessions on governance, institutional reforms, quality of education, human resource development, research and innovation, peace and development, and sustainable improvement of the educational landscape of Balochistan. Professor Dr. Sohail H. Naqvi also presented a visionary roadmap for universities in Balochistan, emphasizing academic excellence, digital transformation, strengthening of research, faculty development, and financial sustainability.
The leadership of the University of Gwadar described the workshop as a significant step forward for universities in Balochistan and reaffirmed the University’s strong commitment to advancing modern governance practices, quality education, and the promotion of research.
