One-Day Workshop: "How to Track a Journal for Your Paper"

The one-day workshop titled "How to Track a Journal for Your Paper" was organized on November 23rd, 2023 by the ORIC Department of the University of Gwadar with the primary goal of equipping researchers and academicians with the knowledge and tools necessary to effectively identify and select suitable journals for publishing their research papers. The resource person of the workshop was Muhammad Irshad Buledi, a Senior Faculty Member and Director of ORIC of the University of Gwadar.
The session focused on hands-on training in using academic databases to search for relevant journals. including tips for optimizing search parameters to narrow down journal options and description of journal metrics, including impact factors. Understanding the importance of influencing factors in publication decisions. A practical guide to navigating journal websites to gather information about journal submission guidelines, review processes, and publication policies.
The Forum was open for the participants to ask questions and seek clarification. The workshop was attended by faculty members, administrative staff, and people from different departments.
