Kashmir Solidarity Day was observed at the University of Gwadar on 5 February 2026, where a seminar was organized in the Seminar Hall. The purpose of the event was to express solidarity with the people of Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir and to highlight their continued struggle for the right to self-determination. The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Gwadar, Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir (TI), presided over the seminar, while the Registrar, Dr. Dolat Khan, performed the duties of moderator. Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Prof Dr. Jan Muhammad, Controller of Examinations Dr Rahim Mehr, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering Dr. Mohib Ullah, Director of Finance Mr. Rehmatullah, faculty members, university officers, and a large number of students attended the event. In his keynote address, Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir, while referring to the Founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah (RA), stated that Quaid-e-Azam had described Kashmir as the jugular vein of Pakistan. He termed the Kashmir issue as the unfinished agenda of the partition of the subcontinent and emphasized that lasting peace and stability in South Asia are not possible without a resolution of this issue in accordance with the United Nations Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. He further stated that several generations of Kashmiris have made immense sacrifices for freedom, which will never go in vain, and that the day is not far when the people of Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir will witness the dawn of freedom. Addressing the gathering on this occasion, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Prof Dr. Jan Muhammad said that the Kashmiri people have sacrificed their lives, honor, and dignity, yet they have never abandoned their struggle for freedom and the right to self-determination. He reaffirmed the resolve that the Kashmiri freedom movement will continue until they are granted their inalienable right to self-determination
