Governor Calls for Quality Education Reforms in Balochistan

Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, presiding over the Vice Chancellors' Conference at the Governor House on December 6, 2024, underscored the urgent need for action-oriented leadership to enhance the quality of education in public sector universities. As Chancellor, he reaffirmed his commitment to fostering sustainable progress and implementing a robust monitoring mechanism to achieve shared educational goals.

Addressing vice-chancellors, pro-vice chancellors, Higher Education Commission representatives, and other officials, the governor emphasized the significance of innovation, disciplined leadership, and financial self-reliance for universities.

He urged universities to identify new income sources, reduce unnecessary expenditures, and submit written reports on financial challenges to the Chancellor's Office. Governor Mandokhail stated:

"Our collective responsibility is to resolve financial, administrative, and academic issues with a comprehensive strategy. No compromise will be made on quality, and vice chancellors' performance will be evaluated based on quality improvements."

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Gwadar, Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir, along with Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Syed Manzoor Ahmed, represented the University of Gwadar at the conference, reaffirming their university’s commitment to implementing innovative strategies and achieving excellence in education.
