These views were expressed by the Prime Minister of Pakistan Mr. Shahbaz Sharif while distributing laptops to the students of Gwadar University on the occasion of his visit to Gwadar. He said that we have restarted the laptop program in all three provinces, which includes the laptop scheme for the male and female students of Balochistan.

The Prime Minister said that the gifted boys and girls of Gwadar University have been given laptops, the only criteria for laptops is merit and there is no nepotism. Yes, the quota of laptops for students of Balochistan has been increased from 3% to 14% under which 14 thousand laptops are being distributed. On this occasion, he announced that this laptop quota will be increased from 14% to 18% for the budget of 2023-24. 
Governor Balochistan and Chancellor Gwadar University Abdul Wali Kakar addressed the ceremony and said that Gwadar University can play an essential role for the people of Balochistan and Pakistan. He said that the services of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for the country and Balochistan in this regard are commendable.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif inaugurated phase one of Gwadar University along with several other development projects. On this occasion, Army Chief General Asim Munir, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi, Balochistan Governor Abdul Wali Kakar, Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Faisal Sabzwari, Railway Minister Khawaja Saad Rafiq, Information Technology Minister Agha Hassan Baloch, Federal Minister Muhammad Hashim Notezai, Minister of State for Communications Asad Mehmood, Chief Secretary Balochistan Abdul Aziz Auqeeli, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Youth Affairs Shaza Fatima, Chairman Higher Education Commission Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, Vice Chancellor University of Gwadar Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir, Corp Commander Quetta Balochistan Lt, Gen Asif Ghafoor, Commissioner Mekran Syed Faisal Ahmed Agha, DG GDA Mujeeb ur Rehman Qambarani and Chairman GPA Pasand Khan Buledai, DC Gwadar Izzat Nazeer and other Govt Officials were also present.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that there is no shortage of resources in Pakistan, and we all have to work together for its development, the people of Balochistan are brave and this land is the land of brave people.
