Introduction and Background
Established in 2022, the English Department at the University of Gwadar stands as a nascent yet vibrant hub for the study of language and literature within the burgeoning academic landscape of the region. Inaugurating its first cohort of Bachelor of Science (BS) English students in January 2023, the department has swiftly emerged as a vital component of the Faculty of Social Sciences, demonstrating a commitment to fostering intellectual growth and cultural enrichment.
The department's mission is rooted in the provision of a rigorous and comprehensive education in English studies, encompassing both the intricacies of linguistics and the vast expanse of literary traditions.
