For the promotion of higher education in the region, the Vice-Chancellor emphasized the importance of transparent use of public funds and adherence to financial rules and regulations.

The fourth finance and planning committee meeting of the University of Gwadar was chaired by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir. Participants included Gwadar University Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Syed Manzoor Ahmed, Director Finance Higher Education Commission Islamabad Ms. Samina Durrani, Additional Secretary Finance Government of Balochistan Flight Lt. Yasir Hussain, Registrar Dolat Khan, Director Finance UG Shafi Muhammad, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad, Director QEC Dr. Kambar Farooq, Lecturer Mujahid Hussain, and Sadia Naseer.

The Vice-Chancellor stressed the institution's commitment to transparent use of public funds and strict adherence to financial regulations for the advancement of higher education. He highlighted the importance of timely planning, financial discipline, regular statutory meetings, quality education, and merit-based practices.

During the meeting, the actual expenditure for the financial year 2022-23 and the revised estimate for 2023-24 were approved, along with some suggestions from members. Decisions from the third Finance and Planning Committee meeting were also ratified. Additionally, the construction of the first phase of the university development project, recommendations to increase MS allowances for teachers, and some adjustments in the remuneration of teaching fellows and visiting staff were approved for presentation to the Syndicate and Senate.

Members of the Finance and Planning Committee expressed satisfaction with the prioritization of the university's interests and stability. They noted that addressing important academic and administrative matters through statutory bodies' decisions will pave the way for future development, particularly in Gwadar and CPEC-related projects, by supplying skilled manpower from the university.

The Vice-Chancellor thanked members for their active participation, valuable suggestions, and opinions towards the development of Gwadar University, and later he presented commemorative shields to them.
